Following an organ pre-
lude, with Judy Buch and
Susan Wright at the console,
the traditional candlelight
procession featured the
Hempfield Singers.
Highlighting the Senior
Strings participation was a
violin solo by Marc Francey.
After the Senior Strings the
Senior Orchestra performed -
followed by the Senior Sing-
ers.
The String Ensemble than
played several numbers fol-
lowed by the Woodwind En-
semble,
The program finale, fea-
tured the Hempfield Singers
and Senior Singers Sue Bie-
miller played the organ post-
lude. Accompanists for the
program included -Mark
Daugherty, Deborah Law-
rence, Miss Biemiller and
Becky Glatfelter.
The Salunga Church of
the Brethren held a Bible
Study on Wednesday even-
ing, Dec. 13 at 7:45 p.m. at
the church.
Leader was Norman Bow-
ers. This prograin was the
beginning of the study series
“In His Hand” part 2.
The Hempfield Se:rtoma
Club held their annual fami-
ly Christmas party on Wed-
nesday evening, December
13 at 6 p.m.
A’ter having a buffet style
supper, cartoons were shown
and Santa Claus arrived and
nresented each child with a
gift.
The Salunga Church of the
Brethren held their Christ-
mas Program at the 10:00
o'clock worship hour on
Sunday. Dec. 117.
Mrs. Edward Wissler, new
president, assumed ‘her du-
ties at a meeting of Society
of Farm Womn 18 held re-
cently at the home of Mrs
Ben Greider, Landisville.
Each member gave a dona-
tion towards gifts f or pa-
tients at Embreeville Slate
hospital. A donation of $5.
was made to the TB Society
and $15 to the Farm & Home
Center kitchen.
Mrs. Edward Wissler, Mrs.
Ralph Martin, Mrs. Jchn
Hess and Mrs. Lester Kreid-
er were named delegates to
the state convention to be
held in Harrisburg in Janu-
ary. Alternates are Mrs. Ben
Greider, Mrs. Lewis Mengle
and Mrs. Melvin Hess.

Special Christmas
Service Arranged
A Special Christmas ser-
vice will be conducied in the
God’s Missionary church,
Main St., Saiunga, on Sun-
day night, Dec. 24th at 7:30

subject “The birthday of the

the subject. “The coming
kingdom of the Lord” in the
watch night service. Rev.
White will speak on God's
