into a Creativity Workshop,”

PP&L Posts
Pennsylvania Power and
Light company has announc-
ed a program of scholarship
grants at 21 colleges and un-
iversities within its service
area to begin at the start of
the 1968 academic year. The
program reflects the com-
pany’s conviction that higher
education helps capable young
people better realize and de-
velop their potential which in
turn advances our country’s
progress.
Four scholarship grants
will be made annually at
each of the 21 institutions,
each valued at $300 at pri-
vate colleges and universities
and $250 at state colleges.
Besides the four unrestricted
scholarship grants, four addi-
tional grants will be offered
at Bucknell and Lehigh uni.
versities and $250 at state
colleges. for study in either
electrical engineering or
mechanical engineering.
Any student — freshman,
sophomore, junior or senior
— residing in the PP&L 29-
Scholarships
county service area is eligible
to apply for a scholarship
grant. Persons living in mu-
nicipalities in the service
area served indirectly by the
company through resale dis-
tribution will also be eligible
to apply for a grant.
College or university auth-
orities have sole responsibili-
ty for selecting winners of
PP&L Scholarship Grants
from among eligible applic-
