NOTICE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE DONEGAL MUTUAL 41-3¢ 1967 PAGE ELEVEN ® An Editorion (From page 1) procedure is to keep a sharp lookout in the rear view mirror and if necessary, pull to the south side of the highway, onto the berm and wait patiently until there is a sufficient lull in traffic to make the turn north- ward safely. The situation is high on the list of dangers faced by Donegal district school buses, which daily make this dangerous turn we are describing. The school has made a request to the state to have adequate turning lanes painted on the highway. True, the buses possibly can be rerouted to avoid the hazard and we earnestly urge those in charge to make that change at once. But, to the state highway department, we point out that the bus driver who is familiar with that situation is safer than the motorist who may be a stranger and finds himself trapped in traffic because he is unfamiliar with the possible danger.
