e Deaths
FANNIE L. KRAYBILL
Miss Fannie L. Kraybill, 82,
of 437 Donegal Springs Road,
Mount Joy, died Monday, Oc
tober 24, at 1:40 a.m. in the
General hospital after an ill-
ness of two weeks. She had
been in failing health for the
past year.
Born in East Donegal Twp.,
a daughter of the late Peter
S. and Sarah Lehman Kray-
bill, she was a resident of Mt.
Joy 41 years.
A member of the Mount
Joy Mennonite church, she
attended church and prayer
services regularly, and was a
former Sunday School teach-
er.
Surviving are two sisters,
Elizabeth L, Kraybill and
Emily L. Kraybill, both at
home; and a number of niec-
es and nephews.
Funeral services are ar-
ranged for Thursday at 2 p.
m. from the Nissley funeral
home with burial in the
Kraybill Cemetery.

Airman First Class Larry
E. Henderson, Maytown, has
recently been promoted to
Staff Sergeant in the United
States Air Force. He is pres-
ently stationed at Little Rock
Air Force Base, Arkansas. He
was also named honor gradu-
ate of his class upon comple-
tion of an eight-week course
at Chanute Air Force Base,
Ill. Larry is a 1960 graduate
of Donegal high school. He!
entered the Air Force in
June of 1960. He with his
wife Betty, son Joey and
daughter Judy live at Jack-
sonville, Arkansas.
Hear Queen
Mount Joy Rotarians and
their guests Tuesday noon
heard an address by the
queen!
She is Mrs. Harry Wilson,
international queen of the
Flying Farmers of America,
who lives with her husband
and five children on a 400-
acre farm near Nottingham,
Penna. .
Her visit was appropriate-
ly arranged as the feature for
Rotary’s annual Farmer Day,
the occasion for inviting far-
mer friends to attend the
club’s weekly luncheon, held
at Hostetters.
Mrs. Wilson caught, as she
called it, the “flying fever”
from her husband, who was
a U. S. Navy flyer.
As queen Mrs. Wilson is of-
ficial hostess and representa-
tive of the organization
which includes some 9,000
members associated with 42
chapters and owning some
Mrs. Warren Foley, West
Donegal street, is in Detroit
this week attending the na-
tional Girl Scout convention.

Naval School
Robert Morris, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Geo. Morris, South
River St., Maytown graduat-
ed from Navy O.C.S. School
at Newport, Rhode Island last
Friday. Ensign Morris will
attend school at Philadelphia
for 3 months before being as-
signed to a destroyer in South
China Sea. His home base
will be Newport, R. I. His
wife Lee will accompany him
to Philadelphia.
He is a 1960 graduate of
Lebanon high school and a
1965 graduate of Penn State
University. He formerly at-
tended Donegal H. S. before
moving to Lebanon.
Home From California
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Myers,
Donegal Springs Road, have
returned from a 7,500-mile
trip to the west coast. They
visited San Francisco, took
the scenic costal highway to
Los Angeles, where they vis-
ited with relatives and tour-
ed Disneyland and many oth-
er points of interest.
They came home the south-
ern route, crossing the desert
in the Southwest. “Fall is
the time for traveling,” Mr.
Myers said. “There are no
crowds at the tourist attrac-
tions, and fewer cars on the
highways.”

Lions Make Trip
To Allenberry
The Mount Joy Lions Club
made its annual trip to Allen-
berry on Friday evening, Oct.
21st.
They were served a meal
and afterwards attended the
Allenberry Playhouse, where
they witnessed the comedy
play, “The Absence of A Cel-
lo” by Ira Wallach, starring
Bruce Brighton. Toni Garon,
Reginald Rowland Jr., Bettie
Endrizzi, Elizabeth Council,
Paul Renault and Jean Lind-

Army Sergeant Donald L.
Snavely, 32, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Henry P. Snavely, Mt.
Joy R1, was awarded a Safe
Driving Certificate October 8
at Bamberg, Germany
He received the award for
driving Army vehicles for

one year with no accidents or
traffic violations.
Sgt. Snavely is a tank com-
mander in Troop H, 2nd Re-
connaissance Squadron of the
2nd Armored Cavalry Regi-
ment near Bamberg, Ger-
many.
His wife, Trudith, lives at
225 Main St., Mountville, Pa.
