supervisors will meet Wed.,
Sept. 7 at 7 pm. in the East
Hempfield Township's office,
901 Rohrerstown road to con-
sider amending the Zoning
ordinance, in accordance with
recent amendments to the
Land Subdivision Regulations
of the Lancaster County Plan-
ning Commission.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Grein-
er, 160 Church St., Landis-
ville, observed their 50th an-
niversary Wednesday, Aug-
ust 24.
They were honored at a
drop in party on Sunday, Au-
gust 21, at the home of their
son-in-law and daughter, Dr.
and Mrs. Robert Gutzwiller,
730 Barrcrest Lane.
The Greiners were married
August 24, 1916 in the pa-
sonage of the Mount Joy E.
U. B. Church.
They have three children,
Henry, Milwaukee, Wis.; Nan-

Hempfield Zoning Board of
Adjustment met Monday, Au-
gust 22, in the Supervisors’
building, Rohrerstown, and
acted on three requests.
The next meeting will be
Sept| 12 at 7:30 p.m. Harold
Myers, chairman presided at
Monday night's session.

The Hempfield Sertoma
Club held a Ladies’ night on
Wednesday evening, Aug. 24.
Dinner was served at the
Gretna Timbers at 7:00 p.m.
Followed by going to see the
play “The Impossible Years.”

Ben Lyons, Lancaster busi-
nessman disclosed plans re-
cently to erect a teenage rec-
reation hall in the Landisville


area,
Lyons said the building will
resemble a castle and will be
similar in appearance to the
Pennsylvnia Dutch Wonder-
land. The recreation spot bus
land. The recreation spot has
been tentatively dubbed the
Raven of Lancaster, Inc.
The structure will be locat-
ed near the Landisville swim-
ming pool just east of Church
Street.

The Ladies’ Auxiliary to
the Mount Joy American Le-
gion Post 185 will meet on
Thursday, Sept. 1, at the Post
Home.
The meeting will take
place in the form of a corn
and doggie roast at 6:30 p.m.
Installation of officers will }
take place. All members are

The Rev. Robert Duke, a
professor at Lancaster Theo-
logical Seminary was in
charge of the morning wor-
ship service at the U. C. C.
on Sunday. The services will

attended the 19th reunion of
the 69th. Division Association
at the Roanoke Hotel, Roa-
noke, Va., August 19-20-21.

guests attended the Banquet.
Harold Starry, Superintend-
ent of Schools in the Carlisle
area, was elected president
for the second term.

The 13th annual Joycee R
Golf Tournament was held
at Cool Creek Country Club

Missionary Rally,
Tent Meeting
An all-day Missionary Ral-
ly will be held at the Full
Gospel Deliverance church
in the Mount Joy Masonic
building, Main and Market
streets, on Wednesday, Sept.

There will be a morning
session of prayer and preach-
ing. beginning at 10 o’clock;
an afternoon service at 2:30,
and an evening program, in-
cluding an hour-long jungle
missionary film in color.
Rev. Harold Nye is the
host pastor, Dr. Percy Collett
is the evangelist.
Starting on Saturday, Sept.
10, at 7:30 p.m. a tent revival
will begin with Evangelist
Erwin Miller of Titusville,
Pa. The tent will be pitched
along Route 230, east of
Mount Joy, at the old Key-
stone Sales Barn. Everyone is
welcome.
