Donegal Annex
Cards Gym Show
The Donegal Annex Gym
team will present a gym dem-
onstration, ‘Varieties of Mo-
tion”, on Tuesday, May 3 at
8 p.m. in the annex gym. The
program is open to the pub-
lic.
The demonstration will in-
clude the use of heavy appar-
atus, hand apparatus, adagio
routines, tumbling and come-
dy skits.
The list of Annex students
who will appear in the show
are: John Parker, Duane Ris-
burg, Jay Hess, Garry Wise-
man, Scott Gemberling, Har-
old McCurdy, Wayne Drager,

Math Institute
Marjorie Aurick, Donegal
high school junior, daughter
of Leland W. Aurick, Colum-
bia R1, has been granted ad-
mission to the 1966 Summer
Mathematics Institute, to be
held June 13 to July 15 at
Northern Arizona university,
Flagstaff, Arizona. an
Supported by the Nationai
Science Foundation, the - in-
stitute is designed to chal-
lenge mathematically talent-
ed high school students. Costs
of the institute are paid by
the NSF and only 30 young-
sters from some 500 appli-
cants are chosen.
High I:Q:, high class rank,
recommendation of high
school and a capable, ambi-
tious and inquisitive mind
are prerequisites.
Marjorie’s high school math
teachers have been Bernard
Thome and Miss Thelma Tay-
lor.
4-H Club
The second meeting of the
Donegal - Elizabethtown 4-H
Community Club was held
Tuesday, April 12 at Donegal
high school at 7:30 p.m.
A list of the locations of
the places where the club
will meet this year was
drawn up as follows:
May - Donegal High School;
June - Kenneth Borry’s farm,
Mount Joy R2; July - Rich-
ard Yuninger’s farm, Mariet-
ta; August - Clyde Wivell’s
farm, Columbia R1, and Sep-
tember - Christ Miller’s farm,
Elizabethtown RI.
Pointers and suggestions
were given to the members
by the 4-H Club leaders that
were present: Christ Miller,
Paul Hess, and Kenneth Bor-
ry. Further comments were
made by Victor Plasto.
The members were then
quizzed on their projects

is a young plant called?”
The next meeting will be
held at Donegal high school
with baseball at 7 p.m. and
the meeting at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, April 16, at
2:30 p.m., Miss Jean Eliza-
beth Martin, daughter of Rev.
and Mrs. J. Earl Martin, Jr.,
Route 2, Mount Joy, became
the bride of Denver Eugene
Paulus, son of Rev. and Mrs.
Raymond Paulus, R1, West
Milton, Ohio, at the Mount
Pleasant Brethren in Christ
church.
The bride was given in
marriage by her father. Rev.
Martin also officiated at the
ceremony and was assisted
by the Rev. Paulus.
The bride wore a full
length white peau satin
gown with a scooped neck-
line, long taper sleeves and a
chapel train. The bodice was
fitted with a lace cummer-
mind.
Her headpiece was a clust-
er of flowers held by an el-
bow length veil. She carried a
bouquet of carnations and
cymbidiums with streamers.
Miss Jane Martin, twin sis-
ter of the bride was the maid
of honor. Bridesmaids were
Miss Lois Doutrich, Lebanon
R5; Miss Areline Schillen, of
Grantham, and Miss Betty
Martin, sister of the bride.
Sharon Niesley, cousin of the
bride, was the flower girl.
Gordon Weaver served as
best man. Standing with the
bridegroom were David Paul-
us, his brother, Vernon Mar-
tin, and David Hollinger.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 20, 1966
Ushers were Neal Longeneck-
er, Galen Martin, brother of
the bride, and Lowell Rohr-
er. Charles Ware was the
flower girl's escort.
Organist was Miss Karen
Wolgemuth and soloists were
Norman Paulus, brother of
the bridegroom and Vernon
Martin. Douglas Martin pro-
vided a trumpet solo. The re-
ception was held in the Fel-
lowship hall of the Gloss-
brenner E. U. B. church in
Mount Joy.
Following a wedding trip
to Florida, the couple will
be at home on Route 1, Ever-
green Drive, West Milton, O.
Girls Assisting
In Library Center
A half dozen Donegal high
school pupils who are library
assistants at DHS have been
helping at the Mount Joy Li-
brary Center this week as a
part of the local observance
of National Library Week.
Donna Sharp assisted on
Monday and Jean Musser and
Brenda Long were scheduled
to be on duty Thursday after-
noon and evening.
Friday Sharon Green will
work during the afternoon
and Kathy Shoemaker and
Alice Kleiner will be at the
Center on Saturday morning
and afternoon.
