Martha May Huskins, 87,

died Friday, March 25 at 4:15 |

three-year illness.
Born in Columbia, she was
a daughter of the late Levi,
and Louise Shultz Beacham.
Her husband was the late
Samuel Huskins.
Mrs. Huskins was a deacon-
ness of a Methodist church in!

was a member of the First
Methodist church, Lancaster. |
She also was a member of

Survivors include two broth-
ers, Elmer G. and Jacob S.,
both of Lancaster; and two
sisters, Blanche, wife of Al-|
bert Shirey and M. Louise, |
wife of Alex Finalli, also;
both of Lancaster.
Funeral services were held |
from the Groff funeral home, |
Lancaster, on Monday, and
burial was made in the-
Greenwood cemetery.
ADA N. GARBER
Mrs, Ada N. Garber, 79,
wife of Reverend Henry F.
Garber, Mount Joy R2, died
at her home at 3 pm. Wed-
nesday, Mar. 23. She had
been under the care of a
physician for several years,
but her death was unexpect-
ed and apparently due to a
heart ailment.
Mrs. Garber was born in
Mount Joy Twp., a daughter
of the late Amos and Frances
Bear Nissley.
Her mother died earlier
this month at the age of 100.
She was a member of the
Mount Joy Mennonite church
where her husband was min-
ister.
Surviving, in addition to
her husband, are two daugh-
ters and a son: Kathryn, wife
of the Rev. John E. Leather-
man, Mount Joy R1; Lois,
wife of Clarence K. Keener,
Mount Joy R2, and the Rev.
Robert H. Garber, a mission-
ary in Nazareth, Ethiopa,
Four grandchildren and a
brother, Charles H. Nissley
New Brunswick, N. J., also
survive.
Funeral services were held
from the Mount Joy Menno-
nite church on Saturday, |
March 26, and burial was]
made in the Kraybill ceme-]
tery.

poriunity to register for sum-

aiding youth to find jobs of

Miss Catherine Mary Flow-
ers and David Grove Darren-
kamp were married Satur-
day, March 19. The bride is
the daughter of Harry R.
Flowers, 110 Brown Street,
Elizabethtown, The groom 1s
the son of Mr, and Mrs. John
Darrenkamp, 119. East Main
Street.
The Rev, Father Vaughn of-
ficiated at the double ring
ceremony in Saint Peter's
Catholic church, Elizabeth-
town.
The bride wore a white
lace over taffeta gown, her
fingertip veil was attached to
a crown of lace and pearls.
She carried a cascade bou-
quet of yellow sweetheart
roses and white carnations.
She was attended by her sis-
ter, Miss Suzanne Flowers,
Warrington, Va., wearing a
blue nylon lace gown and
carrying a small bouquet of
yellow sweetheart roses and
white carnations.
Serving as best man was,
Stephen Foltz, 30 West High
St., Elizabethtown, cousin of
the bride. Ushers were John
E. Darrenkamp, brother of
the groom and Frank Au-
ment, Detwiler Ave., Mount
Joy.
Following the ceremony a
reception was held at the
Darrenkamp residence. Joan
Flowers, sister of the bride,
and Abbie Darrenkamp, sis-
ter of the groom served as
gift receivers.
The bridegroom is a gradu-
ate of Donegal high school,
1964; and the bride is a
graduate of Lancaster Cath-
olic high school, 1963.
Following a wedding {rip
to Washington D.C, Mr. Dar-
renkamp returned to Beau-
fort, South Carolina, where
he is serving in the United
States Marines.
SPICKLER — HAUGHEY
The marriage of Miss Carol
Ann Haughey, daughter of
Mrs, John A. Wein, 346 Mar-
ietta St., to John Martin Spie-
kler, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Martin Spickler, Mount Joy
R1, was solemnized on Satur-
day, March 26, at 2 p. m.,
with the Rev. Ralph C. War-
ner officiating, in the Mount
Joy Church of God.
The bride was given in
marriage by her stepfather,
John A. Wein, and attended
by the Misses Karen Jane
Olena, Hershey, maid of hon-
or; Kathryn Louise Risser, of
Elizabethtown, bridesmaid,
and Harrietta Marie Wein,
sister of the bride, Mount
Joy, junior bridesmaid. Cindy
Marie and Lisa Ann Fritz, of
Columbia, were flower girls.
James R. Spickler, Mount
Joy Rl, served as best man
for his brother. Ushers were
Glenn Greiner, Elizabeth-
town; David Becker, Mount
Joy R2; Donald E. Mowrer,
Marietta R1; and Donald W.
Mowrer, Marietta, Mrs. Chris-
tian Spickler was organist
and B. F. Olena was soloist.
The reception was heid in
the church social hall.
The bride, a 1964 graduate
of Donegal high school, at
tended Elizabethtown college
for a year and is employed by
the Penna. Highway Dept.
The bridegroom, a 1963
graduate of Donegal High, is
attending Penn State Univer-
sity, York Campus, where he
will receive a degree in June.
He also is employed parttime
at Garber Motor Co., Eliza-
bethtown.
The couple will reside at
Gutshall’s Trailer Court, ia
Marietta R1.
