by Bessie U, Hayles
This last week the hooded
clouds, like friers, told their
beads in drops of rain, and
finally came down in pouring
rain to wash away the dirty
snow and clean some dirt
from cars that had been
splashed by melted snow.
We always know that “af
ter the clouds, sunshine.”
This will bring our usual list
of guests to our home.
Mrs. Herman Bruggemann
of Baltimore, Md., called to
see her mother, Mrs. Emily
Cranford.
On her way to a supervis-
ing position for the Eastern
Star home in Cleveland, O.,
Mrs. Geraldine Fick was an
overnight guest at the Home.
Tuesday, Feb. 8, Donegal
and First Presbyterian chur-
ches Women's Association,
held their regular meeting at
our Home. They served de-

licious refreshments and gave
| an interesting program of de-
{lightful hymn singing, ar-
ranged in an unusual manner,
led by Mrs. W. Scott Heisey,
with Mrs. J. W. Heisey at
i the” piano. Few people com-
ling to call and few able to
| go out made it a very en-
| joyable evening.
i Mrs. Gladys McKelvey cal-
| led for Mrs. Bessie Hayles to
| visit with Lancaster friends.
| Returning with her was Mrs.
| Sara Waite, who had been
|
| visiting her sister, Miss Edna |
| Buchanan. Also along werc
| Mrs. Mabel Crouthamel and
| Miss Edna Buchanan.
| Thoughtful friends of Mrs.

town, came to tae her for a
| ride. 2
The United States far ex-
ceeds any other nation in the
use of electricity. With only
one-sixteenth of the world’s
population, the nation has
more than one-third of the
world's power capacity. This
capacity is three times great-
er than the Soviet Union's,
which is the second-ranking
nation.

The only thing that looks low-priced on a Pontiac Tempest is its price sticker.
And that’s
Take it off, and there's just a pure, unabridged Pontiac:
crisp, Wide-Track style and handling. A handsome
interior. Plus the effervescent performance of a new,
overhead cam 6 engine that puts out with all the spunk
of an 8, yet saves like the traditional 6. And of course,
being a Pontiac, Tempest allows you the luxury of choice—
with options in engines, transmissions, suspensions,
removable.

(
practically everywhere. And like all Pontiacs, Tempest
also has a standard safety package with items like seat
belts to buckle—front and rear. (That ought to do for now.
