Consider Various Sink Models Before Buying:
Are you in the market for a new kitchen sink? If so,
the first decision you should make is to decide whether you
want porcelain or stainless steel.
Porcelain sinks come in a range of colors so you have
a choice to fit your color scheme. Select an acid-resistant
porcelain because fruits and vegetables can stain the finish,
Also remember that porcelain

vary in quality and type of
level so look at many models
before making a decision.
The trend now seems to be
back with drainboards. Wom-
en have found drainboards
are a convenience and are re-
questing them.
Most women who have
used the two-bowl and the
single-bowl prefer the double
bowls. Three-bowl, tri-level
sinks are also available.
Where garbage disposers are
used, a three-level bowl sink
is advantage. A corner sink
may be desired if a kitchen
has corner windows. Many
women, however, find two
sinks at right angles are awk-
ward to use. A dishwasher
should not be installed direct-
ly next: to such a sink.
Twelve to fifteen inches
should be left between the

er of record to handle all in-
surance for the school dis-
trict and to distribute insur-
ance coverage to the various
agents in the school area.
At a previous meeting the
question of high school band
equipment responsibility was
brought up. It was agreed
that the board will be respon-
sible for the replacement of
uniforms, but will accept con-
tributions from the band club
and other donors, toward the
purchase and maintenance of
uniforms. However, they will
be considered the property of
the school district.

Guides To Hatmaking In
Home Study Course:
For an exciting and fascin-
ating venture, make your
own hats. If hatmaking is
iew to you or you need to
brush up on your techniques,
you'll find a home study
course an excellent guide.
Available from Penn State
University, tht course has de-
tailed nistructions for mak-
ing various kinds of hats.
Imagine how smart you'll
look in your fall suit with a
matching hat. If you prefer a
felt hat, you could buy a
wool or fur felt “hood” or
“body” and block or shape it
to suit your features. Pic-
tures in the hatmaking course
show the shape hat that looks
best on you, whether your
fact is square, round and full,
or narrow and thin.
In another section of the
course, you'll find a list of
supplies and where you can
buy them. In fact, you will
get all the information you
need to make or restyle hats.
To get the complete course,
send your name and address
with $1.75 to HATMAKING,
Box 5000, University Park,
Pa., 16802. Make your check
or money order payable to
Penna. State University.
There are no other fees and
all material will be sent by
return mail.
