THE CHURCH FOR ALL ALL FOR THE CHURCH The Church is the greatest fac- gor on earth for the building of character and good citizenship, Jt is a storehouse of spiritual vale wes. Without a strong Church, neither democracy nor civiliza- tion can survive, There are four sound reasons why every person should attend services regularly and support the Church. They are: (1) For his own sake. (2) For his children’s sake. (3) For the sake of his community and nation. (4) For the sake of the Church itself, which needs his moral and material support. Plan to go to church regularly and read your Bible daily. Who would guess that just out of sight there’s a six-lane turnpike! Thousands of people drive past this peaceful place every day, and never know it exists. Occasionally, through a break in the sheltering trees, someone glimpses shining water and green pasture land in the distance . ..then the road curves, and the lovely scene is forgotten. Many travellers hurry along life’s road with empty hearts and unseeing eyes, never realizing what the transforming beauty of the Christian faith could mean to them. Because they always expect to find happi- ness around the next bend, they overlook the still waters of spiritual peace. In the quiet, hallowed atmosphere of the Church, God answers man’s deepest needs. Through prayer and worship, our souls are strengthened and restored. And when we continue our journey, we are not alone. odie vl God is with us.
