“and we're planning the
fourth one for this summer,
if all goes well.”
The Climenhagas have
been from coast to coast, and
from Canada to Florida on
their journeys. This year
they plan to cover a great
portion of the Canadian
countryside, by car, by bus
and by train.
In between times, on occa-
sion, Mr. Climenhaga, who
was an educator of note dur-
ing his active years, lectures
at schools and colleges. One
of his favorite lectures is on
“The Idiosyncracies of the
English Language.”
As we mentioned last
week, he is a founder of
Messiah College at Gran-
tham, Pa., and father of Ar-
thur Climenhaga, who serv
ed as the college's president
for several years.

On Sunday we made our
semi-annual - pilgrimage to
Longwood Gardens at Ken-
nett’s Square.
We were privileged to
have with us a good friend
who had never seen the con-
servatory or gardens, so her
great pleasure was added to
our own.
As always, the first glimpse
of the entrance room of the
conservatory was breath-
taking. It was planted with
lavendar and white hya-
cinths, yellow daffodils,
white narcissus, golden and
blue pansies, Easter lillies,
tulips, camelias, snapdragons
and peonies.
What a heavenly fragrance!
What a glorious parade of
colors! What a delightful
“sneak preview” of spring!

were large wooden tubs in
which flowering crabapple
trees were planted. And on
either side of the main walk,
in the center of the room,
was a wide expanse of vel-
vety green grass’
It defies description. We
can only say again, as we
have said before: “This fab-
ulous place is only 50 miles
away, just an easy hour's
drive from Mount Joy. Go!
See for yourself this ‘little
bit of heaven!’
And, like all the “best
things in life,” it’s free!

ents to remind their bike-rid-
ing boys and girls that traffic
laws apply to them as well
as to motorists, advises Edw.
P. Curran, Safety Director
of Keystone Auto Club.
“There are Bicycle Laws
and a Bicycle Code govern-
ing use of bikes on public
highways and thoroughfares,
but too often they are disre-
garded or even unknown to
many persons,” he continued.
“It's very important, there-
fore, that parents make cer-
tain that their sons and
daughters realize that when
riding their bikes in traffic
they are just as responsible
for their own safety and that
of others as those driving
automobiles and trucks.
“Bike riders are required
to obey all traffic signals
and signs, use proper hand
signals for turns, ride on the
right side of highways close
to curb, park vehicles in safe
places, stop and render as-
sistance in case of accidents

Two Sewer Milestones
Sewers in the Florin area
of Mount Joy are rapidly be-
coming a reality!
This week two rather im-
portant milestones were pas-
sed by the Mount Joy Con-
struction company, which is
laying the lines.
At midweek the important
“high-pressure” lines from
the pumping station on Don-
egal Springs road (midway
between the Cross Roads
church and Spookey Hill) to
a point in front of the John
Henry Lutz home on Donegal
Springs road were complet-
ed.

Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe
No matter how you look at it, this car makes a
lot of sense.
If you're interested in value (and who isn’t),
the eleven features above give you a good idea
why more intermediate-size car buyers are think-
ing Chevelle.
If you're looking for a wide power choice,
Chevelle starts out with a standard
an ideal city performer.
After that you may order from a variety
of engines that turn it into an even
greater highway performer.

pipes are being laid along
the north side of the road-
way.
The second important step
is putting the sewer lines un-
der the Pennsylvania rail-
road.
That work started this
week at a point east of the
Bachman Chocolate Manufac-
turing plant. The project
principally involves pushing
a large-diameter steel pipe
through the ground under
the railroad right of way.
Making that crossing un-
der the tracks is one of the
special engineering pieces of
work involved in. the actual
pipe laying.
