The Rev. Harry Freebairn,
Pastor of the Mount Joy and
Donegal Presbyterian Chur-
ches, was our supper guest
last Thursday evening. Dur-
ing the evening the Rev. Mr.
Freebairn had charge of our
monthly devotional service.
We enjoyed the singing,
prayer, scripture reading
from the - third chapter of
Exodus, and the message on
“Lessons from the Life of
Moses’. The meeting closed
with all repeating the Lord’s
Prayer.

The “Singing Simpsons’
will present a Lenten Con-
cert of sacred music in the
Chiques Methodist Church,
Sunday, Mar. 7, at 7:30 p.m.
The Simpsons are a family
of remarkably talented mus-
icians, including the parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Simp-
son, ‘and their children,
Claudette 21, Joy 18, Patri-
cia 17, Melvin Jr., 16, Gloria
14, Evelyn 11, Marietta 6,
and Joseph 5. They have a
repertoire ranging from the
classics to Gospel songs and
Negro Spirituals.
This is the second time
they have sung in the Chiqg-
ues Methodist church which
is located on U. S. 230, one
mile East of Mount Joy.
