Prayer Of The Week - - -
The prayer this week is by Glenn Clark:

thou guide
in thee.
“We know thou wilt keep him

thee. We know that, if we acknowledge thee in all
our ways, Thou wilt direct
God of love, giver of every good and perfect gift, and
there is none beside thee.

through all, and over all, the only God. And thine is

This year, civiccminded women everywhere are coming to
the aid of the political party of their choice. All, however, join ,
together in their approval of the coftee party, sometimes known
as the Candidate’s Kaffeeklatsch!
There’s something about a friendly cup of coffee that stimu-
lates thinking, makes it easier for people to talk and listen.
“Come for coffee with our candidate,” is a simple invitation, but
elections over the past twelve years show that it packs real
political power.
How To Give A Political Coffee
If you plan a eoffee for your favorite candidate, you will find
that it is an easy and pleasant task. First, invite enough people
to provide a worthwhile audience for your busy guest of honor.
Don’t be afraid to crowd your guests in—there’s a psychological
advantage for your candidate if you do.
All you need to serve is coffee, coffee and more coffee. Cookies
or some other sweet may be added, but they aren’t necessary.
The coffee, however, is necessary and should be hot and delicious.
For twenty people (two cups apiece) use one pound of coffee
to two gallons of water. To brew exczlient ccfiee in a kettle,
place regular grind coffee in a clean ci:ih ¢ack, allowing half
the space for expansion of the grouncs. 7
handle. Bring measured water to a boil, {+ en
boiling and drop coffee sack in wa'er. Rrew over low heat six to
eight minutes, agitating sacl: occ °
