Punt Pass And
Kick Contest
Only a few days remain for
all Manheim Central School
District grade and Junior
high school boys ages 8 thru
13 to register for the P.P. &
K. contest. Top performers
can win a Washington, D.C.
“Tour of Champions”, plus
an appearance at a National
Football League champion-
ship game Jan. 3, 1965.
Registration at Phillips
Ford, 300 S. Main St., Man-
heim will close Friday even-
ing, Oct. 9. Registrants must
be accompanied by a parent
or guardian. Registration is
free and gifts will be given
to each registrant. Boys will
compete with other boys in
their own age group in punt-
ing, passing and Kicking.
There is no body contact.
Prizes in the Manheim com-
petition include Philadelphia
Eagles warm-up jackets,
place kicker outfits and auto-
graphed footballs. These are
first, second, and third place
awards for boys 8, 9 and 10.
Boys 11, 12 and 13 will be
awarded gold, silver and
bronze trophies.
This is the second competi-
tion for Manheim. Last year
with contestants limited to
age groups 8 through 12, ov
er 100 boys participated with
Eric Stauffer, Tim Reese, Da
vid McFarland and Douglas
Winters winning the event
in their respective age group
