I. Diller Miller, of New
Providence. Mr. Miller is a
former Art supervisor at the
East Donegal high ‘school.

2nd birthday anniversary

of New York. He served in

Donegal high school; the
bridegroom in 1960 and the
bride in 1961.

WED 50 YEARS
Mr. and Mrs. Cyris W.
Peifer, 25 Mount Joy Street,
celebrated their 50th wed-
ding anniversary Monday,
July 20. N
The couple was honored at
a dropin party in their home
Sunday by about 40 family
members.
-They were married by Al-
derman A. P. Newell Jr. on
July 20, 1914. .Both are ma-
tives of the county. They are
members of the E. U. B.
Church, Mount Joy. Peifer is
a retired self-employed house
painter. ’
Peifer and his wife, the
former Pauline Krall, have
six children: Grant J. Lan-
caster, John, Parkesburg;
Mrs. June Hauser, Middle-
town; Charles and Cyrus Jr.,
both of Mount Joy; and Rob-
ert, at home. They also have
12 grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.

ON BUS TOUR
Miss Esther Walters and
Misses Anne Mae and Ruth
Eby of Mount Joy, and Miss
Alice Marie Nissley of Salun-
ga have returned from a 10-
day bus trip to the Wiscon-
sin Dells and Mackinac Is-
land. They visited both the
Upper and Lower Dells,
spent three days on Mackin-
ac Island, enjoying its un-
ique, leisurely pace, and had
stops in Detroit, lengthy boat
trips across the lakes, and
pleasant and memorable ex-
periences.
VISITING HERE
Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Weav-
er of Sarasota, Fla., former
residents of this community,
are spending a few months at





After 12 weeks of recruit
training, he will be assigned
to the Infantry Training Reg-
iment at Camp Geiger, N. C,,
to study advanced infantry
tactics for four weeks. After
completion of ITR he will re-
ceive a 20-day leave before
assignment to a formal school
or one of the many Marine
Corps bases throughout the
world.
Also at Parri Island is Al-
vin N. Collins Jr., son of Mr.
and Mrs. Alvin N. Collins
Sr., 347 West Donegal St.
Both Bringman and Collins
were members of the Marine
Corps Reserves in Columbia,
a cottage on the Landisville
Camp Meeting Grounds.
