The camp will con- tinue through July 19. The camp opened with a meeting for youth, with the Rev. Warren C. Reidel, former cowboy star, now pastor of Ross Street Methodist church, as the speaker. Rotarians Hear Talk on Canals Gerald Smeltzer, who re- cently published a book on the subject, Tuesday talked to Mount Joy Rotarians on “Canals of the Lower Susque- hanna” and showed pictures. He told about river and canal transportation and "showed some rare photos of boats, locks, canals and other installations which disappear- ed about the time of the Civ- il War. Also on the program Tues- day was Robert Long, who spoke briefly on the propos- ed, new toll free telephone service between Mount Joy and Lancaster, Landisville and Manheim. He pointed out the econo- mic and social advantages which free dialing can pro- vide. If approved, he said that such service would be started late in 1965 or early the next year.
