Hurt on Bicycle;
Is Improving
Billy Schatz, 10-year-old
son of Mr. and Mrs. James
Schatz, R 2, is improving
satisfactorily at the General
hospital following a bicycle
accident June 8.
He is out of the intensive
care section with his fractur-
ed leg in traction and his
arm in a cast. Head and fa-
cial injuries are improving
satisfactorily.
Billy had ridden his bicyc-
le to Seiler school on the last
day of school as a special
occasion. Returning home he
lost control as he rode down
the ‘“‘waterworks hill’ near
the Sports Farm and crashed
into a tree.
Class Observes
10thAnniversary
Twenty-three class mem-
bers and 21 guests attended
the tenth year reunion ban-
quet of the class of 1954 of
Mount Joy high school Satur-
day evening, June 20, at the
Mount Joy restaurant.
During a business meeting
following the dinner plans
were made for the next re-
union, in 1969, with the
same committee serving as

Following the dinner
there was dancing at the Wa-
tering Trough Inn, and on
Sunday a family picnic was
held at Little Chiques park,
with 23 class members, 16
guests and 41 children in at-
tendance.
Three Injured
Three people injured in a
two-car highway crash Fri-
day morning, Juné 19, are
reported in satisfactory con-
dition this week.
The accident occurred at
the intersection of Main St.
and Longenecker road about
7:45 a.m., when a sports car
being driven west by Larry
Scott, Maytown collided with
a station wagon occupied by |
Henry Bechtel, and Graybill |
Gorman, both of Marietta.
Bechtel, admitted at Saint
Joseph's hospital suffered a
fractured pelvis.
Scott, who was
home from work
returning
at Arm-
strong Cork suffered facial
lacerations requiring more
than 50 stitches to close, and
leg injuries. He returned- to
his home Sunday from the
hospital.

erica held at the Hotel Shel-
burne, Atlantic City June 19-
