BACON BUYING TIP Page 8

Wednesday, May 6, 1964

Buy only enough bacon for
one week because aroma and
flavor begin to fade after
five to seven days of storage,
says Harold Neigh, Penn
State extension consumer ec-
onomics specialist. Store ba-
con in its original wrapper in
the coldest part of the refrig-
erator. For best flavor, don’t
freeze sliced bacon. If you
must freeze it, freeze only a
few pounds and don’t keep it
more than two months in the
freezer.

The prayer this week
tern in Christ.

Study is like the heaven’s
glorious sun.

Amen.”
Prayer Of The Week - - -
“Father, we thank Thee, this day, that having Thy-
self, we have full and joyful assurance: That the best
is forever ahead, That the joy of the future is more
than the joy of the past, That Thy presence shall teach
us to grow, day by day, in love, in courage, in strength,
Forever becoming more like to Thine own great pat-

ever held fast in the grasp of Thy love, there can be,
for us, no despairing failure.

names be lost and forgotten. For in Thee, and with
Thee, there is Life, Immortality, Triumph at last, and
perfection of Joy, so that the feeblest and weakest and
worst may be saved and be stalwart for Thee, forever.

SAVE YOUR TOES
The whirling knife-edged
blade of a rotary lawn mow-
er is dangerous, warn Penn
State extension safety spec-
ialists. He suggests choosing
a mower that is shielded well
down toward the ground and
treating it as yoyu would a
naked buzz saw. Be careful
and save your toes!
