Increased leisure time,
with the average work week
falling to 36 hours by the
year 1976, will challenge ad-
ult education to develop new
educational forms departing
from traditional classrooms
and meetings, a rural sciolo-
gist at The Pennsylvania
State University says.
James H. Copp said adult
education can be used to
gain new experiences and
new avenues for excelling
and will become increasingly
vital in future years. He ad-
dressed a conference deaing
with tourism, recreation and
parks, sponsored by the
Pennsylvania Society of
Newspaper Editors and the
Pennsylvania Newspaper Pub-
lishers’ Association.
Dr. Copp called attention
to the importance of adult
