Dav- ies Jr., nineteen, Florin Ward, who was killed when his car crashed into a tree early Saturday morning. He was born in Lancaster, a son of Clarence and Dor- othy Yost Davies Sr., of Fal- mouth. He resided in Mount Joy for a year and a half. Besides his wife, he is sur- vived by a son, Steven Char- les; a brother, Jacob, of Fal- mouth; three sisters, Dorothy, wife of Gilbert Wagner, of Bainbridge; Emma Jean, wife of Wilbur Kline, Mount Joy, and Miss Barbara Davies, of Falmouth. Funeral services were held from the Sheetz funeral home Tuesday afternoon and burial was made in the Mount Joy cemetery. MARY FRANCES ZELLER Mrs. Mary Frances Zeller, 66, widow of George B. Zel- ler, 207 Birchland Avenue, died Thursday, April 2, at 10 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Hospital after a brief illness. Her husband died in 1952. Born in Mount Joy, a daugn- ter of the late Christian J. and Catharine Fissel Gillums, she was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal church, Mount Joy. Surviving are two children, James R., Newark, Bel.; and Catharine G., head of the Donegal high school English Department, at home; two grandchildren and these sis- ters and brothers, Elwood T. Gillums, Lancaster; Christine, wife of Paris Gruber, Samuel C. F. Gillums, and Mrs. Vio- let Foster, all of Mount Joy. Funeral services were held at the convenience of the fa- mily in charge of the Sheetz funeral home. Burial was made in the Eberle cemetery. MARTHA S. ESHLEMAN Mrs. Martha S. Eshleman, 69, wife of Walter L. Eshle- man, 321 West Donegal St., died at the Lancaster Gener- al Hospital Saturday, April 4, at 2:30 p.m. She had been ill for several years. Born in Rapho Twp., she was the daughter of the late William H. and Mary Kray- bill Strickler. She and her husband would have celebrat- ed their 50th wedding anni- versary this year. LUDWIG BLANZ Ludwig “Dutch Louie” Blanz, 73, Mount Joy RI, near Donegal Springs, died unexpectedly Friday, April 3. Blanz was rolling the rear lawn at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur I. Beahm, .on Donegal Springs Road, when he collapsed. Dr. Thomas O’- Connor, Mount Joy deputy coroner, said death was due to a heart attack. Blanz formerly resided in Mount Joy until about fifteen years ago. Since then he has been residing alone on a farm now owned by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ober, Mount Joy R1. He was a laborer by occu- pation, doing odd jobs throughout the Mount Joy area. There are no known survi- Vors. Funeral rites were held on Wednesday afternoon from the Heilig funeral home. WILLIAM COWELL A message was received in Mount Joy last week that William Cowell, who forms- erly lived in this community, died Thursday, April 2, in a Harrisburg hospital, where he had been since 1932.
