Hang Up Glue Tubes
DHESIVE container tubes
can be stored conveniently
and out of the way by following
a simple suggestion.
Instead of using threaded pins
which usually come with such
containers, use inexpensive cup
heoks as caps.
With their
concave
flanges, these
hooks create
a double seal
which keeps
air out of the
tubes. They
also enable
the crafts-
man to hang
the glue con-
tainers in a neat row above the
work bench where they are with-
in easy reach and are quickly
identifiable.
The cup hooks also ean be used
fo hang up other items, such as
containers of wood putty and
household cement.

The young set will love
these smart-looking kerchiefs.
Both are simple to crochet in
a very short time with pat-
tern No. 938.
Our new 1964 Needlework
Book contains a fine selection
of crochet, knit, embroidery,
quilts, etc., and includes in-
rtsuctions for four designs
and also entitling you to any
pattern of your choice, free.

REPAIR DAMAGED TREES
Strong winds with heavy
ice on tree branches some-
times causes breaks and
splitting. Trees having soft,
brittle wood, such as soft
maples, willows, and poplars
may be hurt. Craig S. Oliver,
extension horticulturist at
Penna. State university sug-
gests that broken branches
be cut off and damaged areas

Wednesday, April 8, 1964
be treated. Wounds and cuts
should be covered with
‘wound paint” to reduce de-
cay. For more detailed infor-
mation, see your county ag-
ent.

enough?
