C. of C. Meeting
Date for the annual Cham-
ber of Commerce banquet
and meeting was set Tuesday
nigst as the Board of Direct-
ors held its January session.
The meeting was held at
the office of O. K. Snyder,
with president Earl Koser in
charge.
Directors set the night of
Wednesday, March 18, for
the annual meeting, at which
time new directors will be el-
ected. !
The committee in

AT DENVER HOSPITAL
Army Capt. John A. Bow-
man, son of Mr. and Mrs.
John M. Bowman, 35 Colum-
bia ave., has been assigned
as a physician at Fitzsimons
Hospital, Denver, Colo.
Captain Bowman entered
the Army in June, 1960.
The 30-year-old officer was
graduated from Mount Joy
High School in 1951 and
from Franklin and Marshall
College, in 1955.
He is a member of Phi Chi
fraternity.

Snow Days Cost Vacation
previously scheduled vacation
on Wednesday and Thursday
before Easter and Monday
following Easter will be add-
ed to the days in classes.
Only on Good Friday will
school be in recess.
If there are additional days
of school lost because of
snow, they will be made up
at the end of school — in
June. It is possible, however,
that by special decree from
the state the lost time may
be omitted. Such was the
case on November 25, when E
schools were closed in mem-
ory of John K. Kennedy, on
the day of his funeral. At
that time the governor issued
a special edict to that effect

for the next convening Coast
Guard Officer Candidate

Lancaster Naval Reserve
Training Center on Saturday
and Sunday, Jan. 25 and 26.
from 1 to 4 p.m.
Applicants must be be-
between the ages of 21 and
26 and have a college degree
in order to qualify. Success-
ful applicants will begin
training at
Yorktown, Va.,

in the Coasts Guard Reserve
and will remain on active
duty for a tour of 3 years.
Applicants are asked to
appear at the Training Cen-

at East Orange Street and
Parkside Ave., Lancaster, at
the rear of the Lancaster Os-
teopathic Hospital.
There is no obligation in
taking the qualification ex-
