FIRE CALL
Friendship Fire
was called to the parsonage
of the Chiques Methodist
church Friday afternoon, De-
cember 6, where a-ssmolder-
ing mattress had filled the
company
i home with smoke,
Fire Chief John Myers,
who said that the fire was of
“undetermined origin”, esti-
mated the damage to the
building at $2,500, all of
which was smoke damage.
Student Council
The Student Council at
Donegal high school sponsor-
ed a school courtesy week of
Dec. 2 to 7. A committee,
consisting of Charles Heaps
(chairman), Sally Zuch, Roy
Hess, Sue Musser, Jack
Frank and Mike Wagner,
was selected to plan the de-
tails for this week.
The Student Council will
also sponsor a Christmas con-
test between the homerooms
at Donegal for the best dec-
orated room. This is being
done, council stated, to em-

phasize the true meaning of
Christmas.
