ABUNDANT
GOD WANTS EVERYBODY TO BE HEALTHY
Sickness is a terrible thing.
Disease has brought more sut-
fering, pain and heartache than
almost anything else. A person
Il do almost anything to rid |
himself of sickness.
The Bible teaches that God
wants everyone to be healthy.
2:00 p.m. Westminster Fel One of my favorite Scriptures |
1 says, “Beloved, I wish above all
7:30 p.m. First meeting of things that thou mayest prosper |
the Christian Challenge Cam-and be in health, even as thy
soul prospereth” (3 John 2).
A person need never feel too
ill or too far from God for Him
to help them. He is no respecter
of persons. He healed the ser-
vant of the Roman centurion.
He healed the daughter of the |
Syrophenician woman and she
was not one of His followers.
He wanted them to be healthy. |
However, through these con-
tacts the people became follow-
ers of God.
Sickness is not placed on any-
one by a loving and good God.
Sickness does not come from
God—He does not want any-
body to be sick. He does not
place disease on anyone’s body
for any reason. The Book of
Job says that the devil afflicted |
Job—that all his ill health came
from Satan. Later that same
book says God changed things,
that Job came out on top. We
can’t blame God by insinuating
that He hates us and makes us
ill and weak.

Does the goal you're seeking seem as remote—
as unattainable—as this snow-frosted mountain top?
Does it seem, sometimes, as if you'll never get there?
Are you on the verge of giving up?
Don’t! Though your objective may seem light-
years beyond: your reach, if it’s the right thing for
vou, God will help you to attain it, if you'll let Him.
The teachings of His Church will help you find the
patience and endurance you need to accept setbacks
« » » and still keep trying.
Don’t try. to climb to the top all by yourself.
It’s<a lonely ascent. Let the Church help you, as
it helped those who were here before you ... and
‘agit will’ help. those -who -come after. you.

THE CHURCH FOR ALL .
ALL FOR THE CHURCH
The Church is the greatest factor on
earth for the building of character and
good citizenship. It is a storchouse of
spiritual values. Without a strong Church,
neither democracy nor civilization can
survive. There are four sound reasons
why every person should aitend services
regularly and support the Church. They
are: (1) For his own sake. (2) For his
children’s sake. (3) For the sake of his
community and nation. (4) For the sake
of the Church itself, which needs his
moral and material support. Plan to go
to church regularly and read your Bible
daily.
