Electronic
Equipment
The second piece of elec-
tronic equipment was receiv-
ed by the music department
of Donegal high school. A
Strobutuner was put into use
this week at the school. Don-
egal is the third school in the
county to use a piece of equip-
ment of this kind.
The equipment has a whirl-
ing disk and measures the
sharpness or flatness of each
note which is either played on
a musical instrument or sung.
As the note is played, the
whirling disk moves constant-
ly to the left as long as the
note is flat.
Another piece of electronic
equipment previously put in-
to use in the department is a
hi-fi tape recorder. This re-
corder is used constantly for
both instrumental and vocal
work.
