Exhibit your crochet at our Fair and compete for over $10,000 worth of prizes
to be awarded national winners in the Nationwide Crochet Contest by the
National Needlecraft Bureau... The Grand National Champion will receive
a free trip to New York and Bermuda for two, plus $1,000 in cash...Chame-
pions in the “Teen-Age Girls” and “Men Only” classifications will each receive
a free trip to New York City for two, plus $500 in cash.
Simply crochet an entry for one or more of the 16 classifications, Each entry
awarded a Nationwide Crochet Contest Blue Ribbon as First Prize Winner in
one of these classifications is eligible for the Best of Fair trophy (illustrated)
plus the National Finals in New York City. To be
eligible for judging, your article must be made of
mercerized crochet cotton in any size thread up to
and including 100, and must be completed this year.
Immediately after the judging at our Fair, we will
report the names of the winners in all classifications
to the National Needlecraft Bureau. The Bureau will
then send cfficial forms and instructions to our wine
ners, for insuring and mailing their pieces to New
York for the national judging. The Bureau will ‘in
sure all entries while they are in their possession.

Joy Rl, died at midnight
Sunday at his home after a
lengthy illness.
| He was a retired molder,
|employed by the Pennsylvan-
ia Malleable Iron Corp., Lan-
caster, for 25 years. He re-
tired five years ago.
Singer was a member of
tehman’s E. U. B. Church.
|He resided i n Conestoga
|Twp. most of his life, but
moved to Mount Joy R1, five
{years ago when he retired,
Born in Pequea Twp., Sin-
|ger was a son of the late Pes
[ter and Annie Lichty Singer.
|He is survived by ' his wifg,
Katharina Kroph Singer; a
[son, Ralph Singer, Millers-
ville; and a step-daughter,
Mrs. Francis Lermer, Lancas-
| ter.
| Also surviving are two
« grandchildren, 1 step-grand-
child, two step-great-grand-
|children, and a brother, Ar-
Singer, Columbus, Ohio.
Funeral services were held
