more farmers take advan-
tage of cheap electrical pow-
er to supply automatic wa-
ter systems, modern sanitary
facilities in their homes, and
irrigation systems in their
fields,” the department com-
mented.
It was pointed out that
the availability of ground
water to supply present and
future needs is determined
basically by the occurrence]
and character of fresh wa-|
ter-bearing beds, and sec-|
ondly by the ‘extent tol
which the natural conditions
have been impaired by: the
actions of man.”
