Numerous complaints have
been received during the
past weeks from property
owners in East Hempfield!
Township concerning nuis-|
ances and damage created by
stray dogs and dogs permit-
ted by their owners to run
loose, it was reported by
Sylvester Poff, East Hemp-
field Twp. constable. The
township law officer has is-
sued a warning to all dog
owners that they will be
held responsible for any]
property damage done by
their canine pets. According|
to the dog law, quotes Poff,
a licensed dog picked up is |
subject to impounding, and|
such expenses incurred shall]
be paid by the owner. He|
further states that unlicens-|
ed dogs running loose will}
be destroyed.
