Pause For
Reflection

One of the paradoxses of this
so called scientific age is that,
while acknowledging that in
h:ondling forces we court dis=-
aster if we violate God's laws
pertaining to them, we seem to
think that we can violate God's
laws pertaining to spiritual and
moral matters with impunity.
We legalize the “right to
strike” (which, in its essence,
is simply legalized assult and de~
struction of other people's pro-
perty), we develop great indus-
tries based on human voices,
we utter hdasphemiss and ob-
scenties on a prodigious scale-
and seem to think that nothing
cn toward will happen as a re-
sult, How blind we are!
We apparently cannot see
that our rising crime rate, ou
scandalous psychopathic hopsi-
tals are al] the ressults of our
defianec of God's spiritual and
moral laws. And these are dis-
asters that make even an ex-
plosion in an atomic lakoratory
a minor mishap by comparison
In physics and chemistry we
are truly in a scientific age but
in the realm of moral and spiri-
tual matters we are still in the
age of what Paul labeled “sci-
ence falsely so called.”
