For Meatless Meals

2 cans (7 02.) tuna (2 cups)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
i 1 cup medium white sauce /
| v, cup milk
1, teaspoon salt '
Flake tuna and add lemon juice,
white sauce, seasonings, egg,
celery and bread crumbs. Mix
well, Thoroughly grease the bot-
tom and sides of a 9-inch ring
mold. Cut pineapple slices in half
crosswise and arrange around the
bottom of ring mold, placing cut
side to the center, Spoon tuna
| When you put your ring mold to work, you add a bit of sparkle
| to everyday foods. A main dish distinguished enough to star on any
table is our Tuna-Pineapple Ring. High in nutrition with milk, egg,
| it takes on glamor and interesting
texture with cut slices of pineapple arranged in the bottom of the
i mold. Either green beans or peas may be used in the center of the ring.
Substantial, it needs no more than a combination or fruit salad
with rolls and butter for a main dish for a meatless meal. A sweet
| dessert and beverage would complete the menu,
TUNA-PINEAPPLE RING
# Regs’
VY; cup sliced celery
4 slices pineapple
Va teaspoon pepper |
I teaspoon Worcestershire sauce {
1 cup dry bread crumbs
mixture over pineapple, Bake in
a. moderate oven (350 degrees)
for 40 minutes. Serves 6.
Run spatula around edge to loos-
en and unmold on serving plate.
Fill center with cooked green
beans or peas. (One pound beans
fills center.)

LOCAL SCHOOL CLOSED
WEDNESDAY
No school was held Wednes-
day in the Mount Joy Element-
ary School. Since one day has
becn saved previously in case
the school might have had to be
closed because of snow, Charles
Heaps, principal, decided to
close the school Wednesday.
Teaclkers were given the oppor-
tunity to attend the Flower
Show in Philadelphia
