in the Mount Joy Church of God
Wednesday evening, Mar. 9, The
being sponsored in the
church by the Ergatan Sunday
School class. Proceeds from the
program will go toward the
church building fund.
Nevin W. Fisher is the direc-
tor of the forty mixed voices;
and Donald Golden is organist-
accompanist. More than half the
group are vocal soloists. This
year marks the 20th anniversary
year of the founding of the or-
ganization. The group is singing
concerts in churches, high
schools and civic auditoriums
from Johnstown to

Evangelical Reformed church in
Marietta; March 27 at Maytown
Reformed, church; April 17, at
Marietta Presbyterian church.

been accepted in the Western
District County Chorus to be
held at Manheim Mar. 26. Those

at the County Chorus and also
had the largest group to repre-
sent the County at the District
Chorus.

combined meeting of the group
and the Ladies Aid Tuesday ev-
ening at the home of Mrs. War-

Eunice Herr, secretary of stew-
ardship; Mrs. Alvin Yingst, sec
retary of literature; Mrs. Maris
Gainor, secretary of Christian
service; Miss Anna Mae Eby,
secretary of missionary educa-
tion of children and Mrs. John
Roth, secretary of missionary
education of young people.
Mrs. Zink was
the program which centered a-
round the theme of “India”.
Mrs. Ezra Ranck was in charge
of the business meeting. The
group planned a mother and
daughter dinner-meeting for
May 10. Committees appointed

During the business
of the Ladies Aid, the group
planned the mesu for the men
and boys banquet to be held in
the church basement April 18.

The program in the Church
of God next Wednesday is sch-
eduled to begin at 7:45 p. m.
This marks the second appear-
ance of the group in Mount Joy.
They made their first appear-
ance in the Church of God, last
spring.

To Local Lions
The Rev. W. L. Koder, pastor
of the Trinity Lutheran Church,
was the guest speaker at the by-
monthly. meeting of the Mount
Jop Liéhs Club Tuesday night
at Hosteiter's. Rev. Koder dis-
cussed the advantages in living
in the United States rather than
in a country run by Communists
and Socialists.

CALVARY SPEAKER Dr.
Bob Wells evangelist, will be
the guest speaker at the 10:30
service at the
Church this Sunday, Mar. 6. Dr.
Wells is president of the Ameri-
can Evangelistic Association and
founder of the Dallas Institute.
He is known to many here since
he conducted several evangelis-
tic campaigns in Lancaster and
elsewhere in this area. Forrest
Schickedanz, tenor soloists will
be with Dr. Wells to lead sing-
ing and bring special music. All
are cordially invited to attend.
