Courses and teachers have
« been announced by school offi-
!cials for the Donegal High
classes which will begin next
Monday, Nov. 1. Typing 1 will
{ be taught by Roy Armald in
Room 117. Typing I will be of
fered Thursdays from 7-9. At
the present time there are too
many people registered for the
course to have all meet on eith
er night. Therefore, it would be
appreciated if those people who
can do so, will attend the Thurs-
day class. When the sizes of the!
classes are determined it may
be possible for the students to
vary the nights of attendance or
to attend both classes. People |
enrolling for the Thursday class
[ may also register for a different
course scheduled to meet Mon-
days.
Shorthand I will meet Mon
days in Room 140 from 7-9 with
Mrs. Clara Krotzer as instruct-
or. Shorthand II will meet on
I'hursdays from 7-9 in Room
115. Mrs. Kroster will also teach
this class. While this group is!
interested primarily in stenog-
raphy, it will also have access to
typewriters for transcription
purposes.
A refresher class in typing
and shorthand will meet Mon- | 2%
days in Room 115 with Mrs
| Norman Houseal as instructor
One hour will be spent on each
subject during the evening
Classes in woodshop will be
held Mondays from 7-9. Charles
Rovenolt and Hubert Peters
will be the instructors. Instruc-
tion will ke given in the opera-
tion of various woodworking
machines. Students will com
plete projects of their own sel
ection,
The sewing class will be or
ganized Monday evening with
Mrs. Almeda Griffith as instruc-
tor. This course will cover the
fundamentals of sewing and
sewing machine operation
Spanish I will meet in Room
119 with Mrs. Nancy Seldom
ridge as instructor.
The art class will not be or-
ganized until Nov. 15. At that
time, it will meetin Room 121
with Mrs. Arba Herr as instruc-
tor. During the first semester,
tentative plans are far teach-
ing Pennsylvania Dutch art in
the second semester, ceramics.
These classes will be organiz-
ed if there are more than ten
persons enrolled and if an ave
rage attendance of at least ten is
maintained. A registration fee
of $2.00 will be required for stu
dents from East Donegal Twp.,
Mount Joy Twp., Marietta and
Mount Joy Boroughs. Tuition
( for all others will be $7.50.

The examinations are scored
| and the results for each student
| are returned to the school
| Twenty-one juniors and 32 sen-
iors availed themselves of the
opportunity to take the examin-
{ ation.
