The three-day Craft Fair, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, has won its place in an outstanding sum- mer event in the Keystone { State, and annually attracts thousands of visitors to the pic- turesque and historic Carlisle area. Demonstrations of many handcrafts will be presented by experts each day, and a Hand- weavers’ Fashion Show will be held Saturday afternoon, July 31. With the Fair will be held an Exhibit of the choicest pieces of workmanship of the Guild, chosen by a panel well known judges. The Guild has approximately 1,000 members in 13 chapters, located at Carlisle, Harrisburg, Philadelphia, York, Lancaster, Williamsport, Altoona, Allen- town, Reading, Erie, Edinboro, Lebanon and Doylestown. Two shows will be held that day in the field be- tween the two villages; a mati- nee at 3:00 p.m. and an even- ing show at 8:00 p. m. The Von Brothers Circus the first circus to ever come to the two villages and funds from the sale of tickets will go to- ward both fire companies.
