MRS. IRMA V. WERTZ
Mrs. Irma V. Hauf Wertz, 48,
of 14 Ruby St., Lancaster, was
stricken fataily at Spring Gar-
den Club, located in York's

downtown area, at 1:15 a. m.
Saturday.
York police conveyed her to
the York Hospital, where she
was pronounced dead on arriv-
al. Lester J. Sell, York coroner,
said that she uied of a coronary
occlusion.
Born in Lancaster, she was
the daughter of Ella Dettry
Hauf Fox, Lancaster, and the
late Charles Hauf.
She was a clerk at the Mariet-
ta Depot, for the past four
years. Prior to that time she
operated a luncheonette at Flor-
in for three years.
She is survived by her moth-
er and stepfather, William Fox;
a daughter, Nancy Jane, wife
of Melvin N. Ryder, Florin; one

Missionary To Speak
In E-Town Church
Mrs. Paul H. Streich of the
United Andean Indian Mission
will speak at the closing session
of a four week School of Mis-
sions this coming Sunday even-
ing at 7:30 in the Washington
Street Church of the Brethren,
Elizabethtown. Mrs. Streich and
her husband were commission-
ed to serve in Ecuador in Octob-
er of 1945 in a mission program
supported by the Presbyterian
Church, U. S. A, the Evangelic-
aland Reformed Church, the Ev-
angelical United Brethren
Church, and the Presbyterian
Church, U. S. Hersmessage will
be illustrated by slides.
This Sunday's service will be
sponsored by the women of the
Church. Mrs. H. B. Longeneck-
er, director of missions will pre-
side. Miss Carrie Ellis will lead
services, and a
| male quartet will sing. The us-

her home after a long illness.
