Florin Firemen
To Seek Funds
For New Siren
Hope To Raise $1,000
In House-To-House
Canvas
A plan to obtain a fire siren
for Florin was announced this
week by members of the Florin
Fire Company.
With the need for a siren be-
ing an urgent one, the Fire com-
pany will conduct a house to
house canvass within the next
week.
Cost of the new siren install
ed is approximately $1,000, all
of which is expected to be rais-
ed at this time. Urging the
public to respond generously,
firemen pointed out that they
have had a hard time raising
funds recently due to restrict-
ions on carnival activities.
