John Dillinger Resigns From
Zoning Board of Adjustments
After Serving Only One Month
This Brings Vacancies
To a Total of Three

FARM SHOW DIRECTORS
TO HOLD MEETING MON.
The directors of the Farm
Show will hold a meeting Mon-
day evening in the office of the
Mount Joy Farmer's Dairy.
One of the objects of the
meeting will be to decide
whether the Farm Show should
be held the usual three days or
extend to four days.
The resignation of John Dil-
linger as a member of the Zon-
ing Board of Adjustments was
announced at a meeting of bor-
ough council held Monday eve-
ning.
The resignation was accepted
by council. Mr. Dillinger had
served on the Zoning Board of
Adjustments little more than a
month, having succeeded Paris
Hostetter, who served on the
board for several years.
The resignation brings to a
total of three the vacancies in
the local zoning set-up. Vacan-
cies caused by two resignations
from the Borough Zoning Com-
mission submitted sothe time
ago have not as yet been filled.
The most recent development
in the local zoning dispute oc-
curred last week when Steven |
K. Estock filed an appeal before
the Lancaster County Court
from an order of the Zoning
Board of Adiustment to move a|
dwelling which Mr. Estock has |
constructed on Columbia Ave.

Burgess Charles Fish asked

Fearing that damage
have occurred as a result of the
prolonged drough, Florin fire-
men Monday evening watered
the historic trees at Donegal

fore the dry spell was broken
with this week’s two-day
downpour.
The watering of the trees was
{done under the direction of Fire
Chief William Mateer with Jay
| Wolgemuth operating the en-
clude the famous Witness Tree
and the large oak by the en-
trance gate.
Farmers throughout fhis sec-

pour. «The rainfall arrived just
in time to prevent serious dam-
