here. Burgess Fish informed him it
was necessary but Bloom refused

Chief of Police Neiss reported
thirteen traffic violations, and 1,066
miles travelled last month.
C. Krall reported these bills paid:
$1,354.29 boro account and $115.14
police pension annuity fund. Bal-
ance in the boro account $11,128.10.
These checks were received:
Robert Brown, $125.00 March fines;
$100.00 April fines; James Hocken-
berry, $42500 April auto viola-
tions; Christ Walters, $10.50 April
building permits; George = Brown
II, $212.00 for 1950 tax collected
with $283.10 for 1950 real estate
and $333.00 per capita outstanding.
€3,211.31 of 1951 taxes collected.
Exonerated from collecting $24 for
1950 per capita tax.

cases of measles, 1 mumps,2 chick-
en pox, 3 nuisances Ling correct-
ed and $1 license fee,
Fire Chief Myers reported 1 call,

Charles Sweigart, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Percy J. Sweigart, Mount Joy
R2, Saturday at 10:00 a. m. in St.
Anne's Catholic Church. The Rev.
Charles Weaver officiated at the
ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father, and was attended by
her sister, Mrs. William F. Sears,
Jr., as matron of honor. Paul Swei-
gart served as best man, for his
brother. And the ushers were Wil-
liam Sears, Jr, and Robert C.
Claus.
After a reception at Plattie’s
Play Barn, Silver Spring, the coup-
le left for a wedding trip. They
will reside at the home of the
bridegroom.
The bride is a graduate of Man-
heim Twp. High School, and the
bridegroom of East Donegal Town-
ship High School.

Arrangements have been made
for the proper recognition of thoss
individuals who, through civic
pride and appreciation of their
citizenship shall demonstrate the
greatest degree of proficiency and
originality in the development and
care of the aforementioned hirsute
adornments, and that suitable a-
wards and prizes be distributed to
those worthy of distinction.
Consequently those male citiz-
ens who refuse to take heed will
te prosecuted. This persecution
and ridicule shall be visited upon
the heads of those who are clean
shaven after May 11, 1951. ‘They
shall be prosecuted by a special
court to be set up, to be known
hereafter as the Mount Joy Kan-
geroo Court, and shall be staffed
by a prosecution attorney, judge
and as many policemen as needed.
The judgment of this court shall
be final and no appeal to a higher
court will be possible. And it shall
be the duty of all females to be-
come Sisters of the Swish and
dress in period ccstumes or obtain
a cosmetic permit. All residents of
the town are expected to wear the
official Robin Hood Centennial hat.

withdrew the driving privileges of
forty-three motorists last week. A-
meng them were V. Ray Rich, Mar-
ietta, and Florence Collins of this
place, on charges of speeding.
