About 115 pilots flying from all five of Lan- caster County's airports partici- pated in the event. Each ‘airport served a course in this unusual | breakfast flight. Included on the menu were: Ham and Eggs, Iced Fruit Juice, Doughnuts and Coffee, and finally Watermelon. Alfred Gusler and Jehn Haw- thorne flew to New York State and Canada last Saturday. Elwood Barbour of Flogin | brought his mother (Mrs. Charles Barbour) and his grandmdthér (Mrs. Sarah Hackenbergen) out to the Donegal Airport last Thursday and they all enjoyed an interesting sight-seeing flight. Mrs. Hacken- berger is 85 years old and enjoyed the ride very much. A ‘spot landing contest held at the airport last Sunday afterncon was won by Norman Heisey. About twenty pilots entered the contest and the first five winners were members of the Donegal Dudes Flying Club. He was injured about the head and it was necessary to stitch the wound. A slight concus- sion prevailed, however the boy is deing nicely now.
