Business Meeting
The migutes of the last regular
meeting, were then head and ap-
proved. :
Squire Hendrix reported the
receipt of $10 collected as fines for
speeding.
The solicitors reported having
filed two liens for taxes against
local real estate,
Mr, Eicherly reported having
placed new tires on the motor-
cycle and boro truck.
Pumping Engineer Schatz re-
ported having pumped 8,127,000
gallons of water during Decem-
ber,
The monthly and annual report
of Officer Zerphey was read, He
made 186 arrests and prosecutions
last year,
Elmer Zerphey stated that at
certain seasons of the year the
Penna. R. R. cuts the hedge along
the cut on the south side and
thereafter there is a possibility of
children falling into the cut, The
secretary was instructed to cali
the attention of the. proper officials
at Harrisburg for better protect-
ion,
The treasurer's report showed a
balance of $1,506.58 in the Boro
account and $6,006.13 in the Water
account,

The following petition was read
by the secretary:
To the Burgess and Members of
the Council] 'of the Borough of
Mount Joy: /
We, the undersigned citizens of
Mount ’ Joy, Penga, and property
owners, residing on Frank Street
and vicinity of the aforesaid
berough, protest to the Mount Joy
Boro Council at this time against
the building of a garage by. Clar-
ence Schock on the South Side of
Frank Street,
We consider this a menace to
our property, as a five hazard,
causing a lowerment of our valu-
ation, as well as being a public
nuisance.
We, therefore, as citizens ask
your kind consideration in this
matter,
