who was found unconscious in his
| home, 205 N. Barbara St., where
he lived alone, by Chief of Police !
Elmer Zerphey on Wednesday |
afternoon, died. at 1:05 p.m. Friday
in the Lancaster General Hospital.
Dr. David E. Schlosser, of town,
deputy coroner, said death was
caused by a cerebral] hemorrhage.
Mr. Detwiler, a farmer and U. S.
| Asbestos Division, Manheim, em- |
ploye, was born at Mount Joy RD.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Nora Shirk Detwiler, of Lancaster,
and his mother, Mrs. Emma Hoff=
man Detwiler, eighty-eight, of W.
; | Main St. His father was the late
| Bigley Detwiler. Also surviving is
one daughter, Mabel,
A. Rizzo, Lancaster; and three
| sisters: Mabel Rohrer, Mount Joy;
| Beulah Rohrer, Mount Joy; and |
Parthine Wright, Harrisburg; as
well as one grandchild.
Funeral services were held Sun-
| day at the Nissley funeral home
| with burial in the Mt. Joy cemetery.

Harvey D. Easton
Easton, Harvey D., 77, cf 26 N.
, | Philadelphia drive, Dayton, Ohio,
| died Christmas Day after a long |
| illness. A native of Lancaster coun-
ty, he had lived in Dayton 42 years
| and was employed at the National |
| Cash Register company 37 years.
| He was a member of the East Day-
ton Church of the Brethren. Sur-
viving are his wife, Laura V.;
three scns, Walter, Russell and |
Frederick, al] of . Dayton; four
grandchildren; four great-grand-
children; four sisters, Miss Ida
Faston of Lancaster; Mrs. Emma |
Keener of Florin; and Mrs. Ma-
tilda Conley of Philadelphia. Ser-
| vices were held Saturday . at the |
| East Dayton Church of the Breth- |
| ren, with interment in Memorial |

| Park.
The deceased was very well]
{ known thruout this section where |
d | he resided when a ycung man. He
| was hired with the late Henry
Lutz, who resided on the Cameron
tarm, now tenanted by John Ro-
land but went “West” at the age
of thirty,
Mrs. John Murray
Mrs. Katie S. Murray, eighty-
four, widow of John W. Murray,
died at the home of her daughter, |
| Miss Mina Murray, 329 N. Pine St.,
Lancaster, at 10:45 a.m. Sunday
| after a lingering illness. She was
of the late Reuben and Sarah
Shank Ney and was a member of
the Methodist Church. Besides her |
| daughter, at whose home she died, |
{ she is survived by these children:

| Mildred, wife of Edward Schweers:
all of Lancaster; and John W.
Murray, Lancaster R2. Two sisters.
Mrs. Lydia Snyder, Harrisburg;

Elizabethtown; two brothers. Reu-
ben Ney, Maytown; and Harry Ney, |

Twp, on March 21, was dropped
by District Attorney Hamaker.
Restitution was made and the costs
paid. The cow had been purchased
by I. C. Wagner, Hensel, at a sale, |
but was stolen by Maul before he
could claim his purchase. Maul |
had served a term in Franklin
county on a similar charge, Ham- |
aker told the court.
