GORRECHT or r Pipes SAL Mt. Joy, Pa. what we past few days struck the prope it is: If Mr. Farmer does not care to sell at the OPA. ceiling, they will take his crop, pack it, and store it with the express purpose of selling it at the OPA’s ceiling price on packed tobacco. They will deduct the expense of handling which would be cases, packing, shrinkage, ete., with the farmer getting the ad- vance, By this method the grower is guaranteed twenty-one cents at any time, the present OPA ceiling price with a possibility of getting several cents per pound additional thru the other channel. Furthermore, farmers can deliver their crop as soon as it is stripped, right now if it is ready. The latter plan is precisely what the farmers organization aims to do but facing numerous objections, has many of them on the doubtful list while thru the packers’ plan they fave Here ence, cases on hand, warehouses, and large volume sales, which nat- USEFUL FARMER VIHO BUTCHERS and BEEF HOGS TO urally, are quite important, THE get the benefit of packing experi-' that the dealers ho are g the above propo- bition are not doing it very public- lly. We feel, however, that having o many rural readers, it was our diity.to give them the tip. If the dealers will cooperate to that extent, there's absolutely no | use of a coop at this time. Now, Mr. Grower, its up to you. ee fp Rn MISSIONARY MEETING IS POSTPONED UNTIL JAN. 31 The Donegal and Mount Joy Mis- sionary Societies of the Presbyter- fan church will postpone their , meeting until January 31st. at which ' time they will have moving pic- tures in sound and color, of the Netherlands East Indies, in keeping with the mission study of the year West of the date line. rr et ee MARRIAGE LICENSES Ross R.
