CONTROL FARM GULLIES
This is a good time to look over
the farm to see where dangerous
gullies are located. One of the com-
monest methods of control is to fill
the gullies with refuse of all kinds.
The materials should be placed
carefully to give adequate protec-
tion.

“CONTROL OF THOUGHT”
At the Public Dispensary in the
city of Boston
conducted in
the “control of
thought.” Maladjusted persons are
being taught the art of thinking
clearly and sanely about life,
and about self, and how to corre-
late the two in a more satisfactory
way.
The “Thought Control Clinic,”
as it is called, resulted from a study
which showed that nearly a third
of the patients who came there for
medical attention had nothing or-
ganically wrong with them. Their
pains and disorders were functional
—the result of an unhealthy emo-
tional lines; in_ other words, to
relieve the distress from which the
patients think they are suffering.
The “students” are taught how
“masters of themselves,” and their |
ailments and symptoms have van-!
ished.
