man and a member of the Preshy- |
terian church, here. Miss Amelia |
Helman, also residing at the Sump- |
man home. and nephews and neice

and Mrs. Ed Ream. Some time ago |
she fell and fractured a limb.
Services were held at the home |
Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock |
with interment in Mount Joy cem- |
etery.

MRS. CAROLINE STAMBAUGH
Mrs. Caroline Stambaugh, eighty- |
six, a member of a pioneer family |
of Lancaster county, and widow of
John C. Stambaugh, died at her
home in Washington, D. C., Thurs-
day. She had been ill six months
Mrs. Stambaugh, a
resident of
Washington for more than 30 years |
came from Pennsylvania with her
husband after he retired from the |
carpet making business at Florin. |
He died in 1912. She is survived |
bv a daughter, Mrs. A. V. Thomas,
Cherrydale, Va, and four sons,
George B.,, Henry J, and Aaron
Stambaugh, all of Washington, and |
John Z. Stambaugh, Cherrydale. |
She also leaves six grandchildren
and two great grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday at
her residence, with burial in Rock
Creek cemetery.
