The marriage of Miss Almeda S.
Ruhl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip
H. Ruhl and Miller M. Hess, son of
Mr, and Mrs. Elam Hess, both of
Mount Joy township, took place at the
home of the bride’s parents, Thursday
morning at 11 o'clock in the presence
of the immediate families. Bishop
Henry E. Lutz officiated and they were
attended by Mr. and Mrs, Arthur S.
Ruhl, brother and sister-in-law of the
bride. After the ceremony a reception
and dinner was held which was attend-
ed by twenty-two guests.
Mr. and Mrs, Hess and their at-
tendants left on a trip to Covington,
Kentuckey, where they will visit Mr.
and Mrs. James Brubaker, brother-in-
law and sister of the bride. Both Mr.
and Mrs, Hess were graduates from
the Mount Joy High School.

USHERS’ LEAGUE MET WITH
HARRY NISSLY RECENTLY
The Ushers’ League met at the
home of H. N. Nissly and a very
interesting program included: De-
votions by Curtis Resch; Selections
by Male Quartette, including Abr.
Stauffer, Curtis Reisch, Warre
Bentzel, Eli Bentzel; Violin selec-
tions by Merle Hoffer and John
Booth; Selections by Robert Hos-
tetter. The address was by the pas-
tor, Dr. O. L. Mease.
