Baker quarries at Billmyer were entertaned at a dinner meeting Tuesday night in Hotel Ken- newood, Elizabethtown. William Mundorf presided. William Baker, son of J. E. Baker, of York, was the principal speaker. “Not a single fatality occurred in our quar- ries during the past four years, and no loss time injuries are recorded for the past year,” he reclared. The following officers were elected: Chairman, William Mundorf; secre- tary, Benjamin Hercelroth; assistant, A. J. Long; vice chairman, A. J. Sea- christ, all of Bainbridge. An investigating committee includ- ing: Ellsworth Baer, Monro¢ Smith, Superintendent; Seachrist, to investi- gate matters pertaining to safety. Erb, son of Mrs. Fianna Erb, of Mount Joy, and Miss Edith Witmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Witmer, of near Newtown, were married Wednesday evening at 6:30 o’clock in the Silver Spring U. Oberdorff Mary A. Oberdorff, widow of Zach- ariah Oberdorff, a former resident of Windsor, York county, died Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Heiss, Wormleysburg Death was caused by heart disease. The deceased was 88 years old. Short funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the Wormleys- burg residence, with further services at the Cross Roads Church of the Brethren, near Mount Joy. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery Joyce Geltmacher Joyce Kathaleen Geltmacher, ten months old, daughter of Jacob and Beulah Beaston Geltmacher, died yes- terday morning at the home of her parents, in Newtown. Besides her parents she is survived by a sister, Betty Jane, and her grand- parents, Mr. and Mr. Charles Beaston, of Florin; and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Geltmacher of Newtown. Services will be held Thursday afternoon at the home at 1:30 o'clock and at 2 o'clock at the United Brethren church, New- town. Mrs Jane Roath Mrs. Jane Roath, seventy-five, died Saturday evening at the home of her sister, Mrs. Samuel Drace, at May- town, of complications. She was a member of Reich’s Evan- gelical church and is survived by one son, Harry M. Roath and one daugh- ter, Mrs. C. H. Eichelberger, both of Enola; one sister, Mrs. Samuel Drace, with whom. she resided and one brother, George Myers, of town. There are also six grandchildren and three great grandchildren surviving. Funeral services were held from her late home at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday and at 2 p. m. in Reich's Evangelical church. Burial was made in East Donegal cemetery, Miss Viola Schroll Miss Viola Schroll, twenty-one, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Schroll, of Rohrerstown, died at 8:50 p. m. Saturday in the Lancaster General hospital of complications. Deceased is very well known here. Her parents tenanted the former Michael Sauder farm, along the Man- heim road east of town, for several years. She had been ill for the past eight weeks and had been a patient at the hospital for the past two weeks. In addition to her parents these brothers and sisters survive: Elmer, Oliver, Roy, Jr. and Helen at home. Services were held this afternoon from the home and from Donegal Presbyterian church.
