Chief of Police Elmer Zerphey, who
was called in to investigate, declared
that the thieves worked in practical-
ly the same manner as those who
robbed homes in the vicinity of
Neffsville recently. Yesterday fore-
noon, much to the surprise of every-
body, all the stolen jewelry was re-
turned. While the 9:15 car was com-
ing to town, Mr. Clarence Lefevre,
conductor, noticed a glittering object
along the trolley tracks a short dis-
tance east of the Rotary. Upon in
vestigating he discovered a box of
jewelry. He brought it to town.and
gave it to Constable Zerphey.
Mrs. Thome was immediately noti-
fied and identified it as all the jewel
ry stolen.
Officer Zerphey has a good clue to
the robbers. |
