Journals have been telling of the
dangers of X-ray and radium in
various forms.
I spent several hours with one
physician who had previously been
an X-ray enthusiast but he had
disposed of all of his equipment
and would not go near an X-ray
machine while in operation.
He stated that unless protected
by lead, every person within sight
of an X-ray machine while in oper-
ation, was more ‘or less injured.

iT ee One of my friends, a splendid
ay) solves steady, top vealers, surgeon, was so badly burned that
he lost a part of one hand.
A woman came to me less than
a year ago, who was supposed to
be suffering with cancer. I found
very little cancer, but a terrible
X-ray burn. - As a matter of fact,
the burns were so extensive and
deep that it was impossible for
her to recover. She told me that
she had taken 12 treatments of
10 minutes each. As near as I
could judge, and my opinion was
confirmed by more than a dozen
physicians who specialize in the
treatment of cancer. The burns
were so deep that the bones of
the left arm and the ribs and the
Jett side were dead, almost char-
coal,
The Koch cancer treatment was
administered and when I last saw
her there was apparently no can-
cer reflex but she died, according
to my belief, of X-ray burns.
I heard one physician say that
he had used both X-ray and rad-
ium in the treatment of cancer for
a number of years and had discard
ed both because the damage done
by them was incurable while can-
cer was curable. He was using the
Koch method and was restoring to
health over 60% of his cancer
cases.
Radium is not a preventive, it is
destructive. It is just as destruec-
tive to well as to sick tissue and
this is also true of the X-ray.
In my opinion, surgery is less
dangerous to cancer than either
X-ray or radium but even surgery
is worse than the cancer, provid-

Potato Market Stronger
Both old and new potatoes are
meeting a more active demand and
during the latter part of the week
prices have advanced. Pennsylvan-
ia 150 lb. sacks round whites sold
for $7.25-7.75 a sack on Monday
and advanced to $8.00 per sack at
the close of the week. New pota-
toes weakened during the first
part of the week but prices ad-
vanced at the close. The shipping |
