Daniel Erb, of Rheems, has seven-
teen acres of fine tobacco. It was!
planted in the beginning of June and
was topped the first week in August.
It is the banner crop in this section
of the county. The leaves are 28 to
30 inches in length and were kept
free of worms by spraying.
Christian Strickler, of Rheems
tenanting the Elmer Strickler farm
containing one hundred and forty
acres is a believer in plenty of high
grade stock on the farm. He keeps |
twelve head of Holstein cows, feeds |
twenty-five head of steers and eigh. |
teen head of hogs, and keeps six
head of mules and horses.
Mr. Strickler has eighteen acres
of the best tobacco in the neighbor- |
hood. He uses certified seed and |
has great faith in barnyard manure |
