Funeral services were held at his home Sat- .urday morning at 10 o’clock and at 10:30 o’clock in the Church of God, Landisville. Interment was made in the Landisville cemetery. Rev. A. B. Ruhl The Rev. A. B. Ruhl, died yester- day morning at his home near Mas- tersonville, of typhoid fever, con- tracted by drinking contaminated water from a well near Hershey, while attending the world conference of workers of the Church of the Brethren. He was 44 years old. He is the third victim of typhoid fever in this county within a few weeks. The source of the disease was traced ‘in each case to thu well. The Rev. Mr. Ruhl is survived by his wife and the following children: Homer, An- na, Jacob and Ada. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben F. Ruhl and lone brother Monroe, of Manheim ialso survive. The funeral services !will be held Friday at 1:30 o’clock at the home ‘and at 2 o’clock in the Mt. |Hope church, Interment will be {made in the Fairview jemetery. William D. Swords William D. Swords, one of the best {known residents of this place, died |very suddenly at his home on East {Main street Saturday morning after ta very brief illness. He was up town {Friday evening and seemed to be in {his usual good health. Deceased was in his 78th year and was a veteran of the Civil War. He was also a member of the United Brethren church of this place. Besides his wife he is survived by three step- children as follows: Harvey Mateer, Mrs. Harry J. Williams, of this place and Miss Mary Henderson of Har- risburg. He was the last member of his family. The funeral was held from his late home yesterday after noon with interment in the Mount Joy cemetery.
