There was a fire on Sunday evening at the home of Amos Weidman, lo- cated along the Manheim and Peters- hurg turnpike, about a mile and a half east of Manheim. The crew of a trolley car which passed the place, saw smoke and notified the inmate, who proved to be John Weidman, aged between seventy and eighty years, who lives with his son. Amos. The family had gone to church and the old man, whe is feeble, was allowed to remain at home, Mr. Weidman was assisted from the house and word was tele phoned to Petersburg and Manheim for the fire companies to respond.
